Sorry, this is a day late as life got in the way and I wasn’t sure if I could write anything.
I have no pearls of wisdom. Everyone who is walking this path with me is doing it differently. Something that would help me could cause someone else immense pain and vice versa.
If I was talking to a newly bereaved parent then I would tell them to take each day as it comes. Don’t rush through sorting anything. Take your time and worry only about what you want/need. No one else matters.
There are times when this journey will take you to the darkest places you have ever been. Some days the darkness will take you (that is OK) and others you will remember to switch on a light.
Cry as much or as little as you need. No one can dictate or judge your levels.
If something feels right for you then do it. Sod anyone who says otherwise. This is your journey and you must travel it in a way that you are comfortable with.
